Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has received an order from China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding to provide gas pump methods for 15 new build dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7000 TEU).

The 30 deepwell gasoline pumps shall be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.

Svanehøj quadrupled sales of its patented deepwell gas pumps in 2021, and says there are heaps of indications that gross sales might enhance even further in 2022.
“Until a few years ago, the utilization of LNG as a marine gasoline was limited to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we are actually seeing a pointy increase in gas pump orders for deep sea vessels such as container ships and automobile carriers,” stated Johnny Houmann, chief sales officer at Svanehøj. “We had been chosen because the provider of gas pump systems for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we aim to increase our market share further in the coming years.”
